BFS Provides Special Program for Balikatan’s Social Cases

BFS recently put in motion its Social Case Window Program for Balikatan accountholders who can demonstrate unusual hardship due to extenuating circumstances such as extreme poverty and terminal illness.

“BFS is the only mortgage servicer in the Philippines.  In managing the Balikatan portfolio, we have found that sometimes there are extreme cases wherein a borrower is willing to settle but cannot due to financial difficulties caused by an unusual medical condition or circumstances surrounding their employment which has them falling below the poverty line,” BFS shares.  “These individuals definitely need all the help they can get, but they still insist on maintaining their dignity by resolving their loans one way or another.  Accountholders who are proactive in seeking resolution despite their financial difficulties are the type of people we want to help; we thought it only fitting that we launch this program.”

“Those who believe they qualify for the Social Case Window Program will be required to apply and provide clear proof of eligibility in order to be given special consideration.  Nothing gives us more satisfaction than seeing these individuals finally receive the titles to the properties,” adds BFS.

BFS makes itself available through multiple channels.  In addition to its three servicing offices in Makati, Alabang, and Davao, the company can also be reached by phone through trunklines 756-6230 or 750-3888, direct to the Davao office through (082) 221-0809, and by PLDT toll-free outside of Metro Manila and Davao through 1-800-10-2255-BFS (237).  Customers can also text 0922-9999-BFS, via email at HomeSaver@www.bfs.com.ph, and reach an Account Specialist by accessing www.bfs.com.ph and clicking on B-Online.
