More Filipinos Mark 2013 with Legitimate Homeownership through BFS’ Panalo Max

A significant number of Balikatan borrowers have availed of BFS’ Panalo Max offer extension, joining more than 24,000 borrowers from Ilocos Norte to Southern Mindanao whose homes they now call their own.

Initially offered in the first half of 2012, Panalo Max presented special discounts to qualified accounts, with borrowers being given the opportunity to resolve their loans for below the principal loan amount and without paying interests or penalties.

“Panalo Max is one of the ways for BFS to help the borrowers we service to resolve their outstanding loans,” explains Juno Henares-Chuidian, BFS’ Head of Corporate Communication. “We do extensive outreach and constant communication, as well as provide account holders with platforms to get in touch with us. Once in touch, we offer affordable resolution packages that provide instant home equity.”

BFS’ outreach has led to many account holders being grateful for the opportunity to resolve long-standing obligations.

“I know that I must be responsible enough to settle my account on time to avoid foreclosure,” says Danilo Tavas of Novaliches, Quezon City. “Thankfully, BFS provided us with a reasonable and favorable way to settle our loan.”

“I finally stopped worrying about losing the roof over my family’s head, and I’m thankful that BFS gave me consideration, so that I could settle my account,” says Vircelinda Bendana of Marikina City. Meanwhile, Agnes Canlas of Antipolo City remarks, “I’m lucky that my account was transferred to BFS, as they have helped me resolve my loan.”

“I’m happy, as if a weight was suddenly lifted off my chest,” shares Jonathan Cruta of Dasmariñas, Cavite. “I know that I have to pay for my home one way or another, and I was just too happy to take advantage of the BFS discount.”

“I paid off my loans for my own peace of mind,” says Rizaldy Tudio of Calamba City, Laguna. “I thank BFS, because we were able to own our property. It is the only gift we can give our children.” Lorena Reyes of Tagum City shares, “I thank BFS for allowing to me put closure to a long-standing loan.”

Since taking over a portfolio of 52,000 highly delinquent accounts from the National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC) in 2006, BFS has been helping thousands of families resolve their outstanding loan obligations by offering highly discounted settlement packages. Its latest offering, Panalo Max, was extended until the end of January 2013, in response to the reality that many Filipino families were affected by the storms that entered the Philippines throughout last year.
